This coffee saved our lives that morning. Had we not been, and relax here at the port, in Khao Lak before we had to leave, we would be in the country at Similand Island was completely flooded and we had drunk a cup more, we had not got to get out on the water. ...... We love coffee

Also the port of Khao Lak before the tsunami

Vi sejlede rundt hele dagen ude ved We sailed around the whole day out at Similan Island, where we aggregate people up, so there were well filled up the boat.

Here we arrived in Similan island it flowed with waste in the water and we didn't know why, but we were however informed that we could not come ashore.
Again a picture from the island, we'd see another time.
Here we arrived in Khao Lak on the evening of 26.12.2004, after having lain on the water all day. There was nothing left, all the boats and bridges, yes everything was lost or destroyed.
We have just come ashore and there is nothing left, we were deeply shocked, because we did not how bad it was, while we were on the water, only that there had been something but not what.
We were transported up to the Wat, which was used as a collection site. There was quite an amazing helpfulness of the local Thai `is, who came with food and drink to all even if it were those most affected by the disaster. It was the worst we have ever seen that was wounded and died everywhere.
We were a group from the same boat held together; here we are trying to get a nap.
Young girl, she was from the same boat as us.

We rented a moped, it lacked the air, this kind man (he was not the owner) gave not only air, but the major overhaul at no charge, he would simply not have, we drove to something that was not right. It is characteristic of virtually all Thai's they are just so helpful.
Here we get tips to attractions in the area, they could not a word of English, since there are virtually no tourists came here, but they could draw.
